Arriva (Calgary, Alberta, Canada)

The Arriva Towers are a complex of three residential towers located in Calgary, Alberta. These are high-rise condominiums built in a historic neighborhood in Calgary called Victoria Park. The skyscraper features both glass and steel and has brick and sandstone finishes at the base. The 34 to 42-story towers make them the tallest residential buildings in the area.

Fujitec was fortunate to get to work on Tower I at Arriva, a 35-story tower, which included three overhead gearless cars and a Fujitec Millennium controller with electronic touch screens for car calls, a North American first.

The base of the building contains commercial space with two restaurants, a medical clinic and spa. In the addition, the surrounding area includes public parks, shops and recreation spaces. The buildings were designed by BKDI Architects, and developed by Torode Reality Ltd.
Philadelphia Housing Authority (Philadelphia, PA)

The Philadelphia Housing Authority develops, acquires, leases and operates affordable housing for city residents with limited incomes and includes 18 buildings located throughout the city of Philadelphia, totaling 40 units. The total yearly amount on a time and material basis for team of men is $550,000.000.

The initial award included 19 units, but 22 units were added as a result of the branch’s past performance on major repairs. The account includes 33 geared overhead traction elevators and eight hydraulic units.

Fujitec is working on a new contract for a two year contract with three option years extending into 2013. The new contract has a total of 46 units.
Two Liberty Place (Philadelphia, PA)

Rising 62 stories above Philadelphia, Two Liberty Place was the first building in the city’s history back in 1987 to be erected higher than the traditional William Penn atop City Hall.

Fujitec has installed 26 gearless elevators and two escalator units. Fujitec’s Philadelphia branch resigned a three year agreement with the ownership through 2011. The residence elevators (six) had approximately $300,000.00 of small upgrade works performed by Fujitec America, Inc. in 2007-2008.
Fountain Place Tower (Dallas, TX)

The Fountain Place Tower rises 60 stories in downtown Dallas, Texas. It features a reflected glass exterior which emphasizes the tower's unique geometric shape.

The Fujitec Dallas branch installed 30 elevators, including gearless units with speeds of up to 1,200 ft./min. (360 mpm) and four escalators, which together emphatically serve this classic structure.

The owner is One Fountain Place, Ltd., the Developeris Criswell Development Company, the architect is IM. Pei & Assoc., Weese & Assoc. and WZMH Group, Inc. and the contractor is HCB Contractors.
Commerica Bank Tower (Dallas, TX)

ComericaBank Tower stands 60 stories tall over downtown Dallas as the copper cross-vaulted roof illuminates the Dallas skyline each night. The granite exterior is fashioned of Stoney Creek granite and is honed to three distinctly different finishes. The lobby displays three kinds of marble from Central Italy and the Mediterranean coast of Spain. In addition to the Rojo Alicante moldings and Negro Marquina marble flooring, the Botticino Classico marble adorns the walls and floors of the main lobby and throughout the building in every elevator lobby and restroom. Six different types of wood from around the world are also on display in the Building’s 28 elevator cabs. The 33 elevator cabs and 7 escalators have been serviced by Fujitec since the Building opened in 1987.
The Palisades (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)

James K.M. Cheng architects Inc. has developed yet another Vancouver landmark. This stunning twin oval tower complex provides tenants with incredible city and mountain views.

Fujitec manufactured, supplied, installed and has a five year service agreement for the five (5) state-of-the-art Exceldyne geared elevators which service this new complex. Features include 500 feet per minute movement, VVVF drive and microprocessor control.
Waverly on Lake Eola – Orlando, FL

 

Fujitec America installed four geared Fujitec Millennium elevators at 350 fpm at Waverly on Lake Eola. The Waverly Condos is a 22 story high-rise building featuring views of the downtown Orlando skyline. This was a new construction project and was completed in 2001.
