  February, 1948
Fuji Transport Industry Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Fujitec, was established by Chairman Shotaro Uchiyama in Osaka City, Japan.

  July, 1977
Fujitec America, Inc. is established to advance the company into the United States market. Sales offices are set up in Houston, Boston and Seattle.


November, 1978
Fujitec develops the LANDIC Elevator Emergency Power Landing System.

Fujitec develops the Imperial, at 150 mpm the world's fastest AC feedback control elevator.
January, 1982
The world's largest elevator production plant is built in Lebanon, Ohio, as the headquarters for Fujitec America. Sales offices are added in New York, Dallas and Cincinnati.

September, 1982
Fujitec develops the Flex 11, an elevator group supervisory control system with a learning function.
May, 1984
Fujitec secures the largest project in New York, 96 elevator and escalator units in the World Financial Center.

September,1986
Fujitec America completes installation of 30 elevators and four escalators in the Fountain Place Tower high-rise in Dallas.


February, 1988
Fujitec develops the Flex 8800 Series, an elevator group supervisory control system using a fuzzy computer, the first of its kind in the world

September, 1988
Installation completed at 500 Boylston, a high-profile commercial office space in Boston.

March, 1991
Elisio is developed, a super low noise inverter control elevator with a helical gear.



January 1993
Fujitec Canada, Inc. is incorporated.  Corporate office opens in Richmond Hill, Ontario..

Fujitec America completes construction of its 210-foot tall research and development Tower


August 1993
Fujitec secures 1st project in Canada and is contracted to install seven (7) gearless elevators, two (2) hydraulic elevators, and ten (10) escalators at Library Square.

Fujitec Canada, Inc., opens area office in Vancouver, British Columbia
January 1994
Fujitec Canada, Inc. secures YVR Vancouver International Airport contract to supply and install 25 elevators, 19 escalators, and 5 autowalks. Long term maintenance agreement for new and existing terminal also negotiated and awarded to Fujitec

November, 1994
Fujitec develops a wheelchair accessible elevator that can be used by both general passengers and wheelchair users at the same time.

April 1995
NEUROS, an elevator group supervisory control system using a neuro computer, is developed for the first time in the world.
1996
Fujitec America introduces its Millennium.
July 1996
Fujitec Canada, Inc., acquires largest independent, highest quality driven, elevator company in Toronto to strengthen its maintenance and service presence in the downtown core.

September 1998
Fujitec Calgary area office opens.

 

November 1998
Fujitec Calgary secures three (3) major new projects within weeks of opening up Calgary office. Telus Convention Centre, Hyatt Regency Hotel, and TransCanada Pipelines Building.


August 1999
Fujitec Calgary secures project at Calgary International Airport to supply and install seventeen(17) elevators, thirteen(13)
escalators, and nine(9) autowalks.
September 1999
Fujitec Toronto is awarded a major modernization of eleven (11) elevators for the Toronto Star building at 1 Yonge Street for Oxford Development Group.

      
April 2005
Fujitec Canada moves its corporate headquarters to new 24,000 sq. ft. offices in Richmond Hill. The new facility has 2 floors served by a Fujitec Talon Machine Room Less (MRL) elevator.
